The Team

William Lindstrom, General Partner
Leadership Performance, Culture Analytics & Syndicate Architecture

Founder and Managing Partner of PL3 and Founder of The Culture Think Tank, Will focuses on translating leadership behavior and organizational culture into measurable performance, risk, and enterprise value. He is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA).

PL3 and the Syndicate Model emerged from Will’s doctoral research at Vanderbilt University, where he studies Leadership Performance Theory and the application of AI to quantify how leadership decisions, culture, and execution patterns influence growth, valuation, and exit outcomes.

Will’s work is grounded in a simple but often overlooked reality: culture is not abstract — it is a leading indicator of operational performance, valuation risk, and deal success.

By building analytics platforms that score leadership behaviors, workforce alignment, and organizational readiness, Will helps owners, fiduciaries, and M&A professionals surface hidden human-capital risk, improve exit readiness, and connect people decisions directly to financial outcomes.

Lindsay Guzowski, General Partner
Leadership / Talent Risk, Governance & Performance Intelligence

Lindsay focuses on helping investors and boards identify, quantify, and govern leadership risk — one of the most under-measured drivers of performance volatility and deal outcomes.

She is the Founder and CEO of The Crucible, a leadership performance research platform used by private equity firms to evaluate leadership teams through data, not intuition. Lindsay is also the creator of the Crucible Leadership Intelligence Report, which analyzes leadership traits, decision patterns, and governance dynamics linked to execution, scale, and enterprise value.

With a background in quantitative sociology and executive search, Lindsay brings a rare combination of behavioral science and applied deal experience. Her work translates complex leadership signals into clear governance insight that boards and investors can actually act on.

By turning leadership behavior into structured performance intelligence, Lindsay helps investors reduce human capital risk, strengthen management alignment, and make higher-confidence decisions across the full investment lifecycle — from diligence through exit.

Bob Dunn, General Partner
Capital Markets, Valuation Intelligence & Buyer Insight

Bob brings deep expertise at the intersection of capital markets, valuation, and buyer behavior, helping investors and advisors understand how deals are priced, benchmarked, and evaluated in real markets.

He is the Chief Product Officer at the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), where he oversees product vision, strategy, and execution across ACG’s portfolio of platforms and partnerships — including GF Data, one of the most widely referenced sources of middle-market transaction benchmarking.

Bob’s career has focused on building data-driven intelligence platforms that inform valuation, reduce diligence risk, and improve deal outcomes. Prior to his current role, he held senior leadership positions at GF Data, With Intelligence, Euromoney Institutional Investor, and Dow Jones, helping scale information products relied upon by investors, advisors, and dealmakers globally.

Bob contributes market-validated insight into how buyers think, price risk, and make decisions, ensuring that performance, leadership, and culture signals align with what actually drives value at the point of transaction.

Jim Tolbert, General Partner
Operational Leadership, Change Execution & Scale Readiness

Jim focuses on helping organizations execute change, professionalize leadership, and scale operations in ways that sustain performance and enterprise value. He brings deep experience at the intersection of leadership development, operational execution, raising capital, transactional experience, and institutional growth.

As Founder and Managing Director of ExecCap Advisors and former CEO of Education Futures Group (Vista College), Jim has led complex, regulated organizations through periods of growth, transition, and transformation. His career also includes senior roles at McKinsey & Company and Morgan Stanley, where he worked on large-scale organizational and financial initiatives.

Jim’s work centers on a critical execution gap that derails growth and exits: strategy is often clear, but leadership capability and operational readiness lag behind. By strengthening leadership systems, execution discipline, and organizational infrastructure, Jim helps owners, investors, and operators reduce scale risk, improve management depth, and prepare businesses to perform — and transfer — at the next level.

He has also worked closely with private equity investors and is versed in bridging the cultures and priorities of senior executive teams and the PE investors.
